Sweater Workshop Part3

Feb 4, Feb 18, Mar 4 and Mar 11,
Thursdays, 6 – 8 p.m.

All levels of knitting skills are invited to this class.  Don’t be afraid to move beyond the scarf, shawl or purse! Come to this 4-part workshop and be guided from start to finish.  You can knit your first sweater, get some help with a current sweater or simply come and get motivated learn some new tips and tricks that will make your sweater fabulous!  Many demonstrations of sweater knitting techniques, including gauge-swatches, sizing, various cast-ons and bind-offs, invisible seaming (mattress stitch), picking up neckline stitches, and more. 

Class Fee:  $80/4 - 2 hour sessions.

Cast On

Mar 6, Saturday, 9 – 11 a.m.

This class provides tons of helpful information on the foundation of every knitting project. …the Cast On. You will learn basic Cast On’s as well as several special Cast On’s.  Learn all the advantages and disadvantages of each Cast On and when to use them and how to use them.

Class Fee:  $40/2-2.5 hr sessions

Learn to Knit

By appointment only

Want to learn to knit?  We will get you started and teach you the basics.  Come join the fun.  We ask that classes be taken consecutively within 4 weeks.

Class Fee:  $50/ 3 – 1½ hour sessions

Specialty Workshop

This class is scheduled when You want!  Schedule 1 hour of personal one on one instruction.   Need help with a project?   Want to learn something new?  This personalized class is just for you and only you. 

Class Fee:  $25/ 1 hr

 

Drop In Project Class

On going every Friday morning from 10-noon

There is no class project.  You can work on the project of your choice!  A teacher will be there to guide you, answer questions, give help and teach new things.  You will be around other students who are at different levels, listening, learning and seeing what they’re doing giving you inspiration and motivation.  In order to be fair to us as a store, we must ask that all yarn and patterns be purchased at Yarning for You.

Class fee:  $12 per session/2 hrs

  • Students must register and pay in advance for all classes.
  • All payments are paid directly to the teacher by check or cash.
  • Students are required to complete the class registration form and return at least 7 days in advance of class.
  • You can register via mail or by phone.
  • Please arrive on time prepared and ready to knit.
